Helen O’Grady, Founder and Executive Director, founded the Helen O’Grady Children’s Drama Academy in Perth, Australia, in 1979.  She is the creator of the acclaimed Helen O’Grady Drama System which is used globally by Licensed Providers.

Prior to establishing the Academy, Helen qualified as a teacher and then worked extensively in children’s television as a presenter and producer, and also as a professional actress.

Widely acknowledged as a world expert in the field of children’s developmental drama, in September 2003, Trinity College, London, one of the largest and best known institutions of its kind in the world, recognized Helen’s unique achievements by conferring on her an honorary Fellowship (F.T.C.L.) the highest academic qualification awarded by the College.  She is also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (F.A.I.M.).

Steve Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Helen O’Grady International Pty Ltd, joined the organisation in 1988, after a successful career in the corporate world, bringing with him an international perspective and expertise in multiple business fields.

For the past two decades, Steve has been at the forefront of the national and international expansion of the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy by means of franchising.  Today, his achievements in the field of franchising are regularly acknowledged, and his opinion sought by universities and business schools within Australia.  He is very generous with his time and remains highly committed to the Helen O’Grady organisation. 

Steve has accounting and management qualifications and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (F.A.I.M.)
